William M

William Marshall is currently based in the Lehigh Valley as a conductor, educator, and performer.
As vocalist he has sung numerous operatic and musical theatre roles, concert solos, and has
performed with the Allentown Symphony Chorus, Boston Baroque, hexaCollective, Opera
Philadelphia, and OperaDelaware. William is a two-time winner of the New Jersey State NATS
Competition, winner of the Rowan University Soloist Competition, and finalist in the Bach Vocal
Competition for American Singers as part of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem Bach Festival.

As an educator, William has worked with students ranging from ages 4 to 82, and is comfortable
coaching classical and musical theater audition preparation, solo vocal technique, choral music
preparation, music literacy, and physicality for the stage. Some of his previous students have
been invited to perform in PMEA All-State and NAfME National Choral festivals, and have been
recognized in the local FREDDY AWARDS high school theater program.

William is Artistic Director for a professional chamber vocal ensemble, Interrupted Silence, and
director for LVHN’s Healing Harmonies, and Valley Voices, Community Choir. He is currently on
the faculty at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey teaching applied
voice lessons, music history, and choral music.

William is a graduate of the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University having earned a
Master of Music degree in Historical Performance and Rowan University having earned a
Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education.
